Nah Ed! I THINK you might be thinkin' of that lousy 2002 remake Adam Sandler did(I know, I know, IS there any OTHER kind of Sandler movies THAN "lousy"?!) of that OTHER Capra/Cooper collaboration, "Mr Deeds Goes to Town", and which was titled just as "Mr. Deeds".
Though of course, IF that no-talent Sandler ever DOES make a remake of "Meet John Doe" TOO, then I suppose the Truth in Advertising Laws MIGHT require that it's title be changed to "Meet John Doh"...dumbing it down for modern audiences, of course!
