You you definitely need to consider the weight. It's more like 250lbs. difference. I've had my bird for almost 2 1/2 years and still have to factor in the weight w every manuever I make, especially in town. Where that extra weight comes in handy, is on the slab where I don't get pushed around as much by the wind and semis. My advice from someone who rode a TBA for 8 years is to ride it as much as you can before buying. That being said I love my bird and love it's silhouette especially at dusk.
