I was getting a bug today & looking at the T-Birds online. After comparing the weight (200 lbs more) to my BA and considering how much my upgrades on the BA have cost me to get it where I love it...I decided no way. I would like to see a BA/Speedy with a 1100-1200cc motor and a six speed.

Ride like you mean it.

Me too.I love the looks of our bikes but a bigger engine [same looks] and 6 speed would be great.

You definitely need to consider the weight. It's more like 250lbs. difference. I've had my bird for almost 2 1/2 years and still have to factor in the weight with every manuever I make, especially in town. Where that extra weight comes in handy, is on the slab where I don't get pushed around as much by the wind and semis. My advice from someone who rode a TBA for 8 years is to ride it as much as you can before buying. That being said I love my bird and love it's silhouette especially at dusk.

Never having been a hero, I am in no way an expert on wives but here's what I think would help, Ron:

Print out several pictures of the bird - place them in a prominent place - stare at them for hours - sigh 200 times a day - act depressed - visibly start getting the shakes - talk to yourself ...

You know what I mean ...

Bedouin. Blessed are those eyes that have seen more roads than any man! (Homer).
