Best know as the drummer for ARS. Also cowrote Cherry Hill Park. A Billy Joe Royal 1969 hit.

Too bad. Atlanta Rhythm Section was one of the great underrated bands. We used to play Boogie Smoogie in the 70s. Southern rock with a brain.

Yep, ARS was of the seminal southern rock bands. Sort of a southern east coast wrecking crew they backed a lot of the softer pop singers in the studio with Robert drumming on tracks like the Cassics IV "Spooky" and more during the early Atlanta "scene" days. He sure was good.
