I replaced my stock sprockets and chain either two or three years ago. I can't remember which, but I have put less than 15k miles on the bike since then. Today while cleaning my chain I noticed that the rear sprocket teeth have been broken off for the most part. I can't figure out why this happened. I still have the OEM sprocket and it looks a lot better than this. The front sprocket looks great and the chain seems sound. Obviously, the rear needs to be replaced, but I'd like to know what I am doing wrong that would have caused this. The rear is a 42T Sprocket specialists Titan Tough.

I've been riding for almost 40 years and have never seen this.
