It wouldn't, but at 80 mph it might not be a pleasent thing without the guard, having said that i have read plenty of threads where the guard made things a bit worse, not to mention Triumphs history with broken guards falling off their bikes, i think i will keep most of it on, i am thinking just the back end of it a bit, or at the very least drilling it out some to make it look a little better then the plain jane OEM black one. Don't want more chrome.
