Was that the bike's or your limiter.
To hit the limiter at 109mph you must have still been in 4th gear, there is one more slot to pick.
At 7550 RPM with 18/42 sprockets top speed is theoretically 134mph.
At 8000 RPM it is 142 mph.
I have been to 185kph (115mph) @ 6500 rpm and the wind load on the chest and head is pretty good, dont know if I could max out.
Yep Bill, and "theoretically" is the operative word here. There is no way these bikes in stock tune are going to hit the rev-limiter in top gear, and/or exceed on average a top speed of about 115MPH on a level road surface.
They just do not have the horsepower(55-60BHP at the rear wheel, and once again in stock form) to overcome the much higher wind-resistance vehicles start hitting at about the 100MPH mark, and these babies certainly are not aerodynamic in any manner, either.
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
