As Mad and many others said, it is impossible to outrun a sports on a straight line (drag)- this is not where the America works well.

It does work well when these factors coincide
1:twisties
2:America/Speedy seasoned confident rider
3:Sports bike with a not so confident rider.

My friend has recently purchased a kawasaki z100. he has been out of biking for 2 years and was a little rusty.

He licked me on the straights as he should have done- his bike has 150bhp or more.

On the bends, the combination, mentioned above played to my favour and will do the same for you.

He got off his bike with a bag of excuses- I was just pleased he was back to biking- the tables will eventually turn to his favour as his skill returns to its usual high.

The only diference will then be the bikes....but if we wanted sports performance- we would have bought sports bikes.

Keep up your riding and skills

Im really happy with the Bonneville America- although I have never sized upto another cruiser/HD or otherwise
