Most parents here shove their kids in front of the TV or the computer to keep'em quiet .... and that's starting at the tender age of 3. No wonder that's the only thing they know.
So I guess you're right... it does come from the parents.... I have all the respect I can for my parents. They were not perfect, but they did, in their own way, teach me some of what I consider the basic facts of life.
I see every day (being a teacher) which sons or daughters are from parents who pushed their kids to do things and the ones who were told to stay quiet in front of a screen.
