I'm pretty sure the first year for the Hurricanes was '73, Jerry, and have these X-75s ever gone through the roof price-wise lately. They're askin' well over $20,000 for a nicely turned out model nowadays.
I remember seeing Vetter's original BSA prototype for this bike on the cover of "Cycle" magazine a couple years before the demise of that brand and before Triumph would rebadge that BSA A75-based machine as the X-75. I had just purchased a new '71 BSA RocketIII, and started thinking to myself that maybe I should have waited until BSA came out with this bike. I thought Vetter had nailed it!
