I was about 3/4 mile from the house a few minutes ago. As I was turning right, a sportbike pulled up behind me when the light was turning green. I took off and ran the half mile hard through a couple sweepies to the next light and turned on my right signal. The bike pulled up beside me and said, "My God, what is that"? I told him it was an 800cc twin, and he couldn't believe it.
He said, "I can outrun anything on the road, but I could barely gain on you after I realized you were gettin' on it." I told him Triumph made a 675cc triple that he could not run away from. He said he believes it. He was on a Hayabusa. Is my bike fast??? I didn't think so - but he did. He said, "I have to check out the Triumph line, that is the most gorgeous cruiser I've seen."
