Be careful even getting an older vehicle. This all started with the '58 Lincoln. The book labo(u)r for a tune-up was over $100 at a time when new sparkplugs cost around 50 cents. It seems you had to discharge/recharge and completely disassemble the A/C system to get at the 2 right, rear sparkplugs. After discussing it with the owner of the car, we cut a hole in the inside fender panel to reach the plugs and fabricated a cover for it. The owner of the shop I worked in called it an outer space car because "The kept cramming stuff under the hood 'till they ran outer space."

The '57 T-bird was another one. They had a lot of problems with the transistor radio and those are nearly impossible to remove.
