Why? I thought the hotter the water, the better the coffee. That tends to be the problem with many run-of-the-mill coffee makers. The water is just not hot enough. Since I got my French Press, I always boil the water. Now, I'm curious.

And yes, the french press method is so damn easy to use. No longer do I have to de-scale. And I don't have to pay through the nose for those liitle Keurig cups. I'm not into flavored coffee anyway.

I intend to have one or two at the house in Thailand when it's finished later this year. It will also work for loose leaf tea.
