I heard if you call Keurig and make a big enough of a deal with customer service they may just replace the device at no charge.
They don't make any money off the device... all their profits are in the Kcups.

I replaced my Keurig after a couple years. It was still working ok but the "descale" message was always showing and it made a godawful noise... Didn't know how loud that one was till we got the new one. WOW!
