Just a quick thought. After riding with me for about 30 miles my girl friends 11 year old daughter described riding like this. " I felt like i was floating!" What an apropriate description of how riding feels. She was very excited " I want to ride again!" Puts a big smile on my face !

"Floating", such a wonderful description

A couple of weeks ago I corrupted a 13 year old lad.

I nearly ended up having to wrestle him to get my daughters helmet back

I know his mother took pictures, so I wonder if I could get a copy

Too old to die young, too ugly to leave a good looking corpse

Hmmmm, well Bryn, I suppose just as long as you wouldn't have also enjoyed wrestling with the lad, then I guess there's no harm in THAT!

(...and here people often wonder why I get such a kick out of pointing out the differences between British English and the American version or it!!!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

Same reason I like pointing out your spelling errors!

My most memorable comment from my daughter came just as we passed another rider....

"Daddy, why did that man on the motorcycle point at the yellow line?"

Yeah Matt, but in my defense(that would be "defence" to those blokes over there on the other side of The Pond, of course), the letter "r" IS right below the letter "f" on these keyboards, ya know!
