I forget how many "squirrel condoms" came with my kit. But I put them on the nipples closest to the engine. Then, when one of them failed, I used some of the vacuum hose, leftover form the AI system, and cross-connected the two. It was actually a suggestion by Z and I've never had a problem with it. I do keep a spare vacuum cap and one of these days, I'll pick up another spare at an auto parts store.

There is a plastic cap (plug) piece that you have to install on the air box. Is that the one cap you are talking about?

The trickiest part I had was getting the injector lines off the cylinders. They use a funky clamp that I never saw before. I ended up unknowingly nicking my finger and bleeding all ofer the top of the engine.

Be sure to check the tightness of those cylinder head bolts after a ride or two. I needed to tighten them a wee bit more initially as I was cautious with how much torque I use on the aluminium head.
