Hey guys, I haven't been posting for a while but I'm hoping for some help here. On two occasions over the last week I noticed a strange noise coming from the bike. I will try to explain as concise a possible without sounding too ridiculous. Here we go.
1.Start the bike(normal) and let her warm up.
2.Engage clutch put her in gear and away I go.
3.I hear a spinning sound right at this point coming from what appears to be under my butt, inside the tranny on my left side.
4.The sound only happens once,only after I start and take off.
5.We go out last night and it happens when I leave. We have a high speed ride to our destination which took about 25 minutes.
6.We arrive and the bike stays parked for 2 hours.
7.I start her up and do not hear the sound but halfway thru my ride home she starts jumping into neutral when I nail it between lights but I think it only happens when I go from first to second.
This only happens when I'm switching gears. The rpm's are up and it's time to switch. I clutch and shift her up and Vroooooom, I'm in neutral. She never jumped from second down to neutral, always up from first. I had to let the rpm's decrease significantly to prevent it from happening. I know I may be coming off as a fair weather friend and I apologize for that but I could really use some help here from those of you with experience. I can turn a wrench but I'm no motor,tranny guy. I leave that to the experts. If I posted in the wrong forum feel free to move it.
