ok well he wants to get it in for the fist service right away so he told me to take it on the 200 mile round trip i had to go with my buddy to take his bike out of storage. well puling out into a main street i only gave the thing maybe 1/2 throttle and the bike stood up with no warning. wow this thing is crazy. it only has 300 miles on it and only mod other then for looks and comfort are thinderbike pipes. bike is amazing on the highway i cruised all 100 miles up 93 to 89 at 80mph. but beware the thing has literally scary amounts of power that you have to get used to and have respect for. ok i am done balabing.

Very Cool! What a dad to sacrifice his riding time like that for you

Frank, I didn't know bikes were allowed in Cambridge. I'm moving to those parts this summer and I look forwad to riding with you and your dad.

Hey Frank
Excellent bike - if the insurance was more favourable, there'd be one next to the America in the garage instead of the Scrambler

We're not exactly sure yet, but my wife and I are headed to Boston next week to househunt. We're looking at Medford/Somerville/Cambridge and then Milton/Quincy/Braintree...places along the Red line to make for an easy commute. Feel free to offer any advice on where to live.

i would say stay out of somerville, and be prepared to spend some money. not the cheapest place to live, property is outragous around here

Adey, I checked into insurance here in the States, and it was comparable to what I pay for my America. I was shocked!!!! My carrier is State Farm. Anyone else have the same experience? It made me take a long look at looking into looking at a new Rocket III.

I took a R3 on a demo ride today . Wow! what a bike. I think the thing that impressed me the most besides the power was how well it handled. Gotto to hand it to those Brits, they made one wallop of a bike!

All they have to do is outfit the Rocket with some decent looking luggage with good capacity and a fairing like the Ultra Classic or Gold Wing and there's room in the garage for one at my house. I loved the ride I took on the demo, it felt like I could pull a car with that thing! A healthy dose of fear would be prudent to pack along with anything else you take on that bike. It scared me, but in a GOOD way.

Women and cats will do as they please. Men and dogs should just get used to that fact and relax

Have you seen the Corbin hardbags? That's what I'd get if I bought an R3.

I took a Rocket for a ride while my America was in for service this past week! I went easy knowing it was a brute, Ditto on the incredible handling with that power.

But here was what really surprised me. When you are sitting at a stop and you rev the motor, the bike actually lurches to the right a full inch from the torque!

Nice feel in the saddle, the only thing that bike was missing was a Fast eddy Sports British Union Jack brake reservoir label!

What an awesome bike!
