This is just my something I did this morning. And it works great for me. I started with the D-tool bit from Bellacourse . Then took a 1/4 bit driver I had and cut it down to fit. I also put a few indexing marks on it with a electo scribe. Like I said it works great for me. I would have posted this in the tool section but I don't have those permissions, so MODS feel free to move this if you wish.

what drives me nuts is the price of 17 bucks for this little tool at our sources, to me this is simply captive margin raping and if it were in any other industry would be considered illoegal :-) Just sayin!

I'm sure someone in the US would buy it and ship to you if you pick up the extra cost. Ma7ybe mark it as a gift to save customs, not sure how that works in Canada.

My Brother lives in Toronto and has had me receive and send items from companies that don't want to deal with all the regs. I think UPS required forms in quintuplicate but cost for small "gifts" shouldn't be too bad.

I was only joking. Really good idea actually, better than needle nose in some cases and once you get your bite you can "lock" em in place. Guess I need to pick up a pair for my tool box.

Always good as a third hand when you're working with small stuff, I find hemos indispensable when soldering wire looms.

Another D-Tool option for those of us who are exceedingly cheap:
I noticed that the opening required is about the same size as the opening on a .22 casing. So, I took and empty .22 casing, flattened one side with a pair of needle-nose pliers to get it into the D-shape. Then, I put the "tool" over the mixture adjustment and turned it with a pair of pliers. A bit redneck, but at $20 for a box of 500 rounds that's a $0.04 D-Tool
