I recently contacted Techbike and referred to this post asking if they had corrected the issues with the stand so that no modification was needed. They assured me they had. I ordered the stand for my 08 America and it went on with no issues, furthermore, the stop pins cleared the frame and the stand when up is at an appropriate angle to secure the bike.
I was able to scrub down the whitewalls and clean/lube the chain with ease!
So, at least in my case, seems like they have resolved the previous issues with the stop pins. Further, they provided the 10% discount as well. I am happy!
