So my son is seriously into trains, and I mean seriously so this little project made his day. The base is a wood box covered in speaker box carpet. I wired in a switch so he could turn it off and on that way instead of unplugging it. Used PCV for the poles. I took some tail lights for a trailer and rewired some candelabra lights in it instead. Used 7w night light bulbs. I cut and painted some steel to go over the tail light assembly and mounted to the arms with U clamps. I think it turned out pretty good but it's the little guys opinion that really matters. He loves it!
