so i searched and couldn't find anything for sure.

i've seen ribbed covers, and mine has a smooth one. can i safely assume that they're a direct swap? all the holes line up and whatnot? i really prefer the look of the ribbed one, and if i ever get that sweet, outrageously expensive finned alternator cover, i'll definitely want it then.

I just have a spare silver one. I was gonna mod it until I got a spare T-100 cover to drill.

Makes the engine look more like a standard Bonnie engine. Also , many don't and didn't like the original George Foreman grill ribbed cover. Triumph must have realized this, so they change it on the latest models. Just a matter of personal taste, I like both.

Personally, I switched to the T-100 type when removing the air box/relocating battery, as both OEM covers are shaped to go around the side panel, which is gone.

Makes the modifications look a little more natural

I still run the ribbed one too, don't know why I want a smooth one. I suppose in case I want to do something different.
