The Cove linky This is an area I normally stay away from, lots o tourist.
It has been a few years since I road through the Cove, freshly paved a couple years back and it was desperately needed. I headed out early and was on the loop road by 10:15. The loop is reserved until 10:00 am on Sundays for bicyclists. turns out I hit it just right. There were times I could not see another vehicle on the road in either direction, very surreal as it's is normally crawling with cars, etc.
Managed to catch sight of few dear and one bear cub.The first place I pulled off there were two young doe within 15 feet of the road, they saw me long before I saw them.
