 what size hex key for front wheel removal

hi trying to remove front wheel on a 2010 speedmaster but not sur what size of hex bolts i need for the very large axle bolts -can anyone advise ? cheers gib
its 1973 ,almost dinner time ,i'm having hoops

The big one or the little one? I think the little one is 12mm and the big one is 17mm. I use a 17mm bolt with two nuts locked together for that one. I can run out and look at the small one if you want.

many thanks i thought the little one was a twelve -i just found a previous post asking the same queston - guess i should have searched first.

that had me swearing up a storm 2 weekends ago when i had to make yet another trip to the hardware store

Just remember the bolt and lock nuts trick. It would work for the small one too. Oh I just remembered for the big one, someone posted using a spark plug socket reversed on an long socket extension.

wheel successfully off - new fork gaiters now fitted

I can vouch for the reverse spark plug socket trick. It's what I used on my front wheel last year and it worked like a charm.

I tried the spark plug trick,didn't work.Went out bought the 19mill and the 12 cas every set I had ended at 10.Well I didn't need the 19 cas only the 12 turned.
