Hey guys, I think I remember a couple guys saying they re-routed their throttle cables to the RIGHT side of the frame, that true?
I have the tank off, sorting out my wiring, and need to by my new clutch cable in anyway, so I figure now is the time to get it all nice n clean.

I saw that too. Had to do with SM risers on BA with stock throttle cables. I'm in the same boat and did the same thing. Also noticed before I did the mod that even with BA risers, the cables were binding when turning full-lock right.
Said Molly to James, that's a fine motorbike.

Benny, I originally did this when I went with Jim's Spacers. I pulled the cables out from the throttle side instead of carb side. Seemed easier to me. Have lots of slack now.

thanks Phil. I'll give it a try. I think when I put the cables on, I took too much slack out of the carb end, and not enough on the throttle end, so it was actually easier to detach em at the carbs. I'll try to even them out.

That works and gains you some length if you need it for aftermarket bars or risers. The tighter bend radius will increase cable wear a bit, so keep an eye out for that.

Well I figure a very slight bend radius increase is better than abrupt yanking on the ends of the cables from a "bar flop" in the parking lot.

I also ordered Jims Spacers. If I move the cables to the right side do I need to disconnect them?

Yup... Or you could unbolt the whole control from the right side and try to fish it under the frame
