Not only a great musical artist, but not a bad actor to boot. He was in "The Right Stuff" and he played Loretta Lynn's father in "Coal Miners Daughter", among many other films. Not to mention, "The Last Waltz" is arguably still the best concert movie ever made.

I can remember him and a couple of his band mates at the time jamming in the living room with my dad.This was way back when Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan wre putting together The Band. RIP Levon.
