Robusta beans are the least desirable and cheaper product producing a more acidic bitter flavor. Oiler as well.

What's your thoughts on coffee storage? Whole beans. I freeze mine. Tried the leave em out in the ambient room thing and thought they staled way too fast. What I noticed with Peet’s is that the beans freeze in clumps. Perhaps due to that oil mentioned above. Oil being Robusta rabbit spheres. Purchase Starbucks when it goes on sale for $6.99 or Peet’s for $8.99. Grind it and press it; wishing for a burr grinder, liking snekeptp’s more than starducks.

Jim, I would not recommend the freezer or fridge as the bean has a tendency to collect moisture. Not sure why this would be more prevalent with Peet’s product. I store my personal supply in a ceramic container with an airtight cover in a cool area. The green product ( non roasted) will last for a very long time, years maybe but the roasted product tends to breakdown much quicker. I would not plan to hold them for longer than a couple of months.
