Mike thanks for the education. I'm just a Maxwell House / Mr. Coffee kind of guy. I drink about 30 to 40 cups a day. My ex use to do what I call the "ritual", grinding the beans etc. The coffee was great, but I only occasionally do the "ritual" as I'm too lazy and cheap. There's a Starbucks 3 blocks from my house, but I'm too lazy and cheap, never been there.
As for as Friar's post, very cool! It reminds me of food processing equipment in some plants I've been in. I've built some multi-million $ homes, but 10 grand is a lot of $ for a coffee maker, plus maint. problems down the road. But, it is cooler than sh-t.
