I bought a Triumph fly screen awhile back and was finally going to put it on.When I went to install it it would not fit around the fork covers. Are there diffrent size covers?Mine is a 07 speedmaster.
Thanks
Gary

They did change the fork covers at some point. Later models were tapered. If the flyscreen fits those you may have a problem. If that's the case you can either get the mounting kit for the earlier model or find and install tapered covers. I'd vote for the former if it was me.

My fly screen attaches to the bolts under the front triple tree. The one I got with the bike in 2007 may have attached to the forks. I don't remember. I think you are right John.

Mine are tapered but I must have the old setup for mounting because there is no way I can get these to go around my tins.
Thanks
Gary

The make a mount that attaches to the bolts under the triple tree and works really easy. Sorry, it's being a pain. I'll take a picture of the mount when I get home tonight and post it here for you.

Mine came from my dealer. I finally got a pic of it last night... [image][/image] If I come across something I'll let you know.

See if you can return it and get a Dart Fly Screen from Eddy. It has 2 mounts that go under the tree. The only thing you have to do is loosen the headlight, remove the screws that hold the wire holders and then put the brackets under the bracket. Takes about 15 minutes and looks solid.

I'll look to see if there is a part number on it. If not I can ask the out at my dealer. I couldn't find the part number on line.

I have had no luck finding a part number. I'm sorry, it took so long to get back to you.
