You see, while he DID have "bad teeth" for most of his adult life(I mean he WAS British, remember?! ...sorry mates, couldn't resist that one ...yeah yeah, I know that was more of the previous generation over there), his dentures were made of ivory and metal which led to a life of oral discomfort throughout the majority of his life.



Hmmmm, ivory and metal dentures? Did the ivory teeth have nice scrimshaw on them? Sounds very comfortable to wear, so maybe that hemp WASN'T rope grade hemp. They did like to smoke the pipe back then....
