Alvin Lee, The Grateful Dead, Jethro Tull, Beach Boys, Kansas, Elvis, Jefferson Airplane, Clapton, Frank Zappa, Santana, Steely Dan, Allman Brothers, Outlaws, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Kristofferson, Buddy Holly, Dave Brubeck, Charlie Parker, Canned Heat, Four Tops, Four Seasons, Al Greene, Smokey Robinson, Fleetwood Mac, Chet Atkins, Dire Straits, Les Paul, etc...(are you kidding? Today does NOT have musicians...it has machines. Rap is not music, and it sucks worse than Disco ever did. There's some good country stuff still, but mostly just more garbage)...Hank Williams, The Stones, Jerry Lee, Jerry Hahn, Atlanta Rhythm Section, B.B. King, Guess Who, Steppenwolf, The Ventures, Dick Dale, Steve Miller, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Otis REdding, Gladys Knight, Aretha, Booker T, Spinners, CSN, Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Dave Clark Five, James Taylor, Alice Cooper, Doobie Brothers... And these are just a small sampling of the good stuff we all got to hear. No wonder kids aren't allright, anymore...They need a good dose of some Rock and Roll Hoochie Koo!!! J. Geils, Humble Pie, HOt Tuna, Billy Preston, The Doors, Creedence, Joany Mitchell, The Byrds, The Yardbirds, ET AL! Crankin' the Jams...cheers.
Read through the your list, I know not complete, not a bad one in the bunch.
Thanks man! Say, there's a guy in K.C. who is a really great musician, and does a regualr gig in a well-known club there...(though the name of the establishment escapes me), his name is Jeff Porter, and it'd be worth your while to go check him out. He's also got a number of records out. If you've been around K.C. for any length of time, you've no doubt heard of him. Good stuff. Ok...and thanks again, and keep on rockin'!
