Well i did it ,i sold my black beauty, my beautiful black (yup thats right the fastest ones)04 TBA is gone. i rode it over to the new owners place gave him the keys and walked away without a second glance ..............fortunately or unfortunately (for him) if the new owner pisses my daughter off i'll get it back hahaha . my son inlaw Jason just done his bike school course and is now the proud new owner of the bike. he came by today so i could do a battery check on it and i realised as he wheeled up the lane and into the drive way ,that ive never really heard the bikes exhaust note before (well other than riding it myself) , it sounded pretty good but very strange and even stranger watching it ride away . so its on to the next Triumph ,i missed a smokin great deal on a R3T last year ,and its haunted me since and theres a couple locally ...........BUT ,i ve recently seen a matte black TBird Storm and wow is that a sexy lookin beast . aaaghh if only all lifes problems where like this eh .the battle continues . anyways ive directed the Lad to this site, and hopefully he logs in ,but as you all know he'll probably be out ridin and topping off his sheeteatin grin addiction .hope he doesnt PO the daughter to much ,3 bikes in the garage might be a P I A not . Log in and say hi to the nice bikers Jason.

At least it isn't a total loss. You can ride it whenever you want....give or take. Whatever you end up with hope you still frequent BA.com.

WOW, Gordie! When I saw your thread's title of "Sad Sad Day", I thought maybe you were commemorating today's 100th anniversary of the Titanic's sinking...BUT lo and behold, once I opened the thread, it appears to be news of even a WORSE fate than THAT!!! Well, like some have already said here, at least your baby in still kinda in the family, eh?! (...and of course ALSO like some have already said here, we DO fully expect you to still frequent this website no matter the choice of your next motorcycle purchase)
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I thought the homeland discontinued producing jaffa cakes, or are they biscuits or cookies? Either way, its all good Gordie. The anticipation of a new ride jh

I know the feeling, Gordie. Mine went in November for the R3T purchase. Watching her pull away was heart breaking. I do miss seeing her and would love to ride her again but I'm content as I could be and have no regrets. At least you still get to see yours! Congrats on the sale.

It's not too sad from where I'm sitting. Hello everyone thought I would stop by and say hello. I'm the proud new owner of an 04 triumph America. The very same one mentioned in the post. Thanks again for the bike Celt. But don't be too sad because now you can buy yourself that rocket you like so much! Btw you are welcome to take your former steed for a ride anytime! In fact when you do we can ride together. You can take the America and I can take the rocket

It's MORE likely you'll get the daughter back before you get the bike back!

Celt sounds like your daughter married an intelligent and very generous guy.

At least the bike is still within reach, Gordie. But ya better get busy buying that R3 'cause we don't let no Yamis in the parking lot at the Raid! (which is just another way to say, "hope to see you there.")
Btw, welcome to the forums, Jason!

If Celt is willing to share his scotch and is unable to obtain a new triumph in time perhaps...maybe... I will take him up as my passenger!!!
