Any mention of stabilizer wheels for an unfortunate member is with no disrespect intended. Nobby you are ok after the mishap and did you get back home from meet OK?
Maybe stabiliser wheels would have saved me from making a fool of myself after sliding my front wheel out at 10mph!
Initial inspection of the bike seems to show only damage to the foot control hanger assembly, the lightbar and the gear change rod.(The last item snapped when I tried to force the gear pedal back into position, not realising that it was damage to the hanger assembly which was the problem.)
The most frustrating thing (apart from missing the meet Ooop North) was waiting for the recovery truck - the Automobile Association were totally incompetant on this occasion. Fortunately for me, Paul's wife Rachel was extremely generous in letting a complete stranger wait in her house while the fools at the AA messed me around. I will be sending her a bunch of flowers just as soon as Paul lets me know her favorites.
As for me, I was fully kitted out in leathers etc so the only injury that I got was a bump on my left elbow, a bit painful but other than that I'm okay.
Glad to hear that everyone else made it and seems to have had/is having a good time.
