I am wanting a quick-tatch full windshield for my 2007 America. I am pretty sure something about the newer bikes is different, and Triumph's quick-tatch stuff will not fit older bikes. I believe that the forks are larger, but not totally sure.

Anywho, is there a quick detatch full windshield that will fit my '07?

It's running fine for me. Maybe you should try a PC.

I'm using the National Cycle Chopped Tinted SwitchBlade. Easy on / easy off. Bit of a bugger to get installed in the first place, but I like it. If you're taller, you can use the regular Switchblade, not the Chopped one.

For the America, installation should be a bit easier because I don't think you'll have clearance issues with the turn signals. YMMV.

I believe the difference in the older versus newer bikes is the straight versus tapered shrouds.

I keep seeing the side note; Will not fit 2007-2009. That blows! I really want the Triumph quick detatch setup with the docking posts, just like my Easy Brackets for my bags.

From members Tony_From_Boston and chip,

I talked to Steve at National Cycle today and here is the skinny. The Shield is the one that fits; the Honda Shadow Spirit 750, or the Shadow Ace 97-2000, or the Shadow 1100 87-97.

Mine is the Two Up model and the part # is N21101. It is tall and I look through mine, but I ride all year round. It blocks a lot of air and there is no buffeting.

There are 4 different windshields that will attach to the same mounts.

The mounting kit part # is, Q102. You'll need to add 2each of the following.

Mounting straps,

The top strap is a number 73, and that number is located on the inside of the strap. The Part # is 37-370173-000.

The bottom strap is a 74, and the part # is 37-370174-000.

Be sure to order [2] two of each or you’ll only be able to put one mount on.

These are all the part numbers you'll need to have all the parts to mount the “Switch Blade” shields to you bike, if you have the tapered bezels over your fork legs. Follow the directions they send except one thing. Turn the bottom spool around so that the thick part is on the outside. That takes up the difference in the taper of the bezel.

Steve said all the parts are available and could be ordered by the numbers I've given here by any of the sales reps. He also didn’t mean to imply that they wouldn’t sell these parts to anyone who wanted to mount their windshield. They weren’t sure if there was enough interest to develop a kit for our bikes.

If there are any questions I’d be glad to help, so just PM me and I’ll try to answer all. If you get the parts and have any trouble mounting them you can also give me a shout. I had some trouble ,but I did the R&D because they didn’t know what I needed to make it work. Once I got all the right pieces it was pretty straight forward. Estimated time to mount the mounting brackets is ½ hour. Time to install windshield, 5 seconds.

I am running the Hell Cat from MS. While not technically quick detach, I can have it off in 7 seconds with an Allen wrench. The handlebar mounts stay on but are not noticeable.

Mine is a Memphis Shades Big Shot. I used to run an Alley Cat till it got scratched. I was/am happy with both but I'm also a large fellow as well as having that built up seat so I needed taller shields.
It's not so much a nquick release as it is an easy to remove. Four Allen head screws, looses and remove. Only takes a few seconds as mentioned above.

Also... Don't forget the lowers. They help reduce buffeting.

Thanks guys. I'll check into those. I like to support the companies that put forth dollars and cents for the AMA Pro Flattrack series, like Memphis Shades.

Can I safely assume that I need to buy one for the previously mentioned bikes (ie, Honda Shadow...)?

Eddy is great. He is very easy to work with and accommodating with all the questions that I threw at him. I have not yet added the lowers (being in Florida the breeze is appreciated. Good luck!
