Uh huh. What say ya let Paul there in Pennsylvania FIRST discover how much more comfortable ridin' a motorcycle usually is while wearin' a helmet(depending upon the style and the fit, of course), and THEN maybe LATER he'll come to the realization that wearin' one is usually ALSO a mite safer practice than NOT wearin' one, TOO!!!

Everyone DOES have their own "Learnin' Curve", ya know dude!

(...I mean, just look how long it took Chad down there in the Lone State State to come to this little "epiphany", HUH???!!!)

Yep and big "D" is correct on all matters here. It is very much more comfortable to wear one than not. I love my Z1R 3/4 helmet. I found out through some study that Z1R helmet delivered much less G forces to you head in the crash tests.
Plus you can personalize a helmet much easier than your head. See my helmet here in this picture.

I have no faith in human perfectability. I think that human exertion will have no appreciable effect upon humanity. Man is now only more active - not more happy - nor more wise, than he was 6000 years ago. Edgar Allan Poe
