You're welcome, Mike. Yup, I used Champix too and it did help. There were some bizarre side effects for me but I didn't take it for long... maybe 3 weeks. The big thing is you have to WANT to quit. If ya got that, you WILL quit for sure. Then you have to reinvent yourself. Like you said, there is having a beer and a smoke, phone call and a smoke, the after dinner smoke, coffee and a smoke, etc. But you will adjust because of how liberating it is NOT to smoke. The rewards far outweigh the old patterns. No more of the friggin' inconvenience of smoking... like having to go outside in sub-zero weather just to feed the habit. That ain't fun! And you will smell better... that's a huge benefit. And ya know what? You'll feel happier... and rather proud of yourself for doing yourself a huge favour. It's a great feeling, Mike... it really is. You can and WILL do this. I look forward to hearing about it all when you hit Nelson this summer.
