Have been chasing a random exhaust pop when backing off, and/or hard down shifting. Kept doing quarter turns on left side carb air adjustment that was doing the seldom popping. The cause turned out to be a gap between end of header pipe and muffler input pipe. Both are stock with exception to two drilled and one baffle removed. Seems factory did not allow enough length on header pipe to seal up 'slots' on muffler input. Sealed them up and walha, no poppie, no moe'.

05 Mulberry America, Freak, 45/145, one shim stock needle, 2 1/2 turns, 2 baffles drilled 3/4" holes, 3rd baffle removed, 18T/42T DID x-ring, engine mount OPG & oil temp, Metzeler 880s, EBS rotors, HH pads, low profile seat

Will RTV soon, but temp fix for now (believe it or not), , , ,I picked up an empty Coors can off workbench, and used scissors to cut out enough to wrap around the 'slots' in the muffler and cranked it down with a hose clamp!!! The set up is like me, , , ,ugly but can getter done!!!!!
