The movies never measure up to the books for those who love the books. As good as the Lord of The Ring trilogy was, they left out way too much and got too much wrong for me. Still. a very good attempt. I haven't seen John Carter yet, but I'm sure I'll be somewhat disappointed but still enjoy the movie.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
