On my way into work this morning I looked down and saw speedo reading a big fat 0. Odometer and trip are dead too. The cable looks fine, havent had time to look at the wiring yet. ALL HELP IS WELCOME AND NEEDED!

Nevermind, I found the problem.  Now, I have the option to 1: replace cable, 2: in dash, or 3: wondering if I might be able to use the speedo/tach combo from a thruxton or one similar? If you have something please let me know.

Thruxton combo sounds like a cool idea, I m ight have to look into that and maybe put a clock or oil pressure gauge or something where my tach is.

The brackets of the speedo/tach of the Thruxton mount on top of the triple tree between the risers.

I know but I was thinking it might be modified to work on our bikes. I don't have one in fr4ont of me to look at.

You can fabricate brackets to make anything work.

Yep I can make most any sheet meatal mods but I still need a cable, unless someone can tell me of an inexpensive speedo with a manenetic pick up.

Thats actually a good price. I called my local dealer and they told me $45. I'm still on the fence about just going ahead and buyinh the Acewell. I really like it but thats some $$$. Anyone know of another beside Koso?

The cable from a different Triumph might not be the same since the wheel sizes are different but I'm not 100% on that so maybe someone will chime in.
2008 Speedy, AI removed, DIY airbox destruction with K&N filters, spectres, re-jetted and "custom" rattle can paint job.

Never had a speedo or tach on my 66 TR6C chopper, no iniwinkers, horn hadn't worked for years and when it did couldn't hear it over the drag pipes anyway. Bike ran great and head lights, tail light, and brake light worked.

I rarely look at the speedo anyway but the odometer makes it nice for me to know when I need to change the oil.

Just wanted to say thanks to Ryk for recommending the cable from Wemoto. I ordered it Friday and It got here today, all the way arcoss the pond. Thats fast customer service.  Got er installed and all is back to normal, that is until I get some more play money
