I've got a support ticket submitted to the ISP. I think it's a performance issue with the database. The homepage is completely hosed. I can't even get to the new test forum. The only thing all three places have in common is the database. I'll start nuking stuff tonight when I get home to try and clear things up. I may take the whole thing down and start building up the VBulletin software from scratch, importing the old content later. My first order of business would be to import all the user accounts.

This is a test. All of a sudden things started moving faster. I'm wondering if Dreamhost "did something."

So I heard back from our ISP and it appears we're running out of memory on our current hosting plan. I'm going to kill off the homepage for the time being (not delete, just deactivate) and see if that frees up enough memory to speed up the forums. Some of the plugins I've installed on the homepage (WordPress) may be the culprit.
I'm also investigating a new ISP that will not only be faster but include the forum conversion from UBB Threads to VBulletin. The entire site will be contained within VBulletin, including the homepage. No more WordPress.

I am not up to date on the newer forum formats (UBB, VBulletin,...) but from my latest experiences, it seems that VBulletin sites are being targeted a lot more by hackers. Maybe there are more holes with VBulletin, I have seen sites taken down for 3 weeks and losing the content from a full year, even with backups... As always, you're the chief.... we'll go where you decide to go!

Does that mean that we possibly could hopefully have a forum that will work with Tapatalk?

Was the dinqua page deactivated as part of the effort to free up space?
