Mine just got back to TPUSA from Triumph TwinPower (pieman is the owner of TTP). So its not an exchange thing.
You should talk to pieman about whether or not he can ressurect a bad CDI.
When mine gets back I'm relocating it under my seat. The issue with our CDIs is the effect that water and heat have on it over time. Bad location. The same Gill type unit is used on Bonnie and they don't suffer CDI issues (they are located under the seat).
