I'm not sure about your fuel warning light, but I used the dash holes to mount the two rheostats for the remote control of my Gerbings heated jacket liner, pant liners and gloves. I drilled two small holes beside each control knob and glued the LEDs (that flash to represent the current flow to the two circuits) in from the bottom. Looks like OEM. Some folks use them for driving light switches.
