Yes Tritium is radioactive, however its only a beta emitter, and the radiaton can be stopped by a thin sheet of plastic. It wont even penatrate the outer layers of dead skin. You get more radiation form being out in the sun, medical/dental x- rays or a cross country flight. This being said I wouldn't go chewing on those sights, but since it is an isotope of "hydrogen" it would bond with the water in your body and be flushed out in a matter of weeks.
