Do lots of homework and soul searching before you buy a Taurus. You probably don't buy cheap tires, doorlocks or other important items, so don't cut any corners on a handgun. Buy one that is time proven and not prone to jam (if a semi auto). After all, if the need arises that you have to send lead downrange, you don't want malfunctions. At that point, your life and possibly your family's life depends on your firearm and your ability to use it. After you make a choice, take whatever steps necessary to obtain a concealed carry permit, practice shooting lots and carry the gun with you whenever legal/necessary. An arsenal at home won't help you when you aren't there. After all of that, my personal choice for a concealed carry weapon is the "baby" Glock model 27 .40 cal. with magazine extender (for extra grip without extra capacity...bummer). I also keep a couple of $25 pistols to give to Hillary's gun police whenever they decide to round up the guns!!
