I prefer revolvers, just one of those things. My S&W 586 is a bit large (in my opinion) for concealed carry though so I'm looking into either a Charter arms .44 Pug or a .357 Magnum Pug.
Taurus makes fine weapons for reasonable prices. See if you can test fire one first though, it may or may not fit your hand. That's an important consideration in handguns. You may find an extremely sore thumb or web area of your hand after a couple of boxes.
