Chain and Sprocket facts That's 2 for Gary
From: Cody
Triumph recommends 2 to 3 centimeters of chain slack. This is the deflection of the chain midway between sprockets. 1 inch converts to 2.54 centimeters, so an inch of slack would be about perfect.

QPD Belt Drive Systems New Speedmaster.com Installation instructions Compliments of Dinqua.com Belt Adjustment Guidelines Compliments of Dinqua.com If you're stranded with a broken belt, you can't wait for a replacement from Brent and you're near a Harley Dealership, the following Harley belt will fit with the QPD belt drive sprockets: 40307-00, 135T. It's more expensive than Brent's replacement belt. FriarJohn paid $175 for one in July, 2005. If your belt is squeaky but otherwise looks okay and is adjusted properly, it's just dirty. Pressure wash it and you're good to go.

I got this spiffy chain tool in the mail this evening. It's called a "RK Breaker Rivet Chain Tool kit" slickest something I've seen in a while. Item# RKTOOL.. I got it at Moto-heaven .. best hundred dollars I've spent lately. Made the whole chain swap thing a breeze. I highly recommend it.. sturdy construction and easy to operate. The whole job took a tad over an hour and a half... with a jack that was not cooperating and four blown drop light bulbs.. in the shed.. at night.. well you get the picture. Check out the Scottoiler ...automatic chain oiler for a low maintenance chain drive system. They can be found at Aerostitch Rider Wearhouse for a reasonable price.
From the land down under..

Hi Chy
I noticed you mentioned the Scotoiler and had a link to a site to buy them. Just thought i would send you an Australian site who also sells them for the Aussie readers..

For an inexpensive manual type oiler check out Loobman.

Thanks to SalMaglie:
Like it's been said, no set interval. Mine lasted until about 30.000 miles. I replaced it with a Thunderbird rubber, and got a bit tighter fit than stock. There should be no play with the cush drive rubber. If there is, it could cause the chain to stretch. The Tbird part # is T2012211.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.

Thanks to John (member jj):
Bonneville America with the 17t: A9618015
Speedmaster with the 16t: A9618019
Don't know why the parts fiche lists A9618019 for both!
