Oh yeah, I agree Mike! Guys of "a certain age" usually fondly remember that TV show and that Michael Parks-sung song, alright. And, I'll bet they remember the opening of the show, too!

And yeah Bob, that Nelson Riddle "Route 66" TV show theme is another which holds strong memories for me!

And coincidentally of course, both of these series were similar in their basic premise.

You forgot the after "coincidentally".

Mad magazine did a spoof on TCB that started out something like: Take half the car, half the cast, and get a show that's half as good.

Yeah, I guess that was kinda true, Bill. I mean, seein' as how the run of "TCB" was ALSO less than half as long as "Route 66"'s was TOO!

I guess when ya can have TWO guys in a Corvette who can at least maybe hold your interest a little while conversing with each other whenever they're NOT conversing with some of the people they meet in each episode of an Anthology series, I suppose that MIGHT be a little more interesting than some "James Dean-like Man of few words" type of actor/character who EVEN when he's NOT quietly riding his Sportster from place to place, pretty much didn't say much at all to those SAME kind of people out there in America once he ran into 'em!!!

(...'cause I guess THAT'S how a "cool" guy on motorcycle is SUPPOSED to act, huh?!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
