You hit that one pretty darn good. 3 registers and 3 octaves for Whitney I figure. A full 4 and 4 for Ronstadt. Lauper and Freddie Mercury levels of singing.

But, there is always a but The clarity of her voice was simply amazing! After the anthem discussion I went and listened to her version. Whoah! That lady could sing and had the stamina to hang on those long notes without breaking down.

I wonder why so many gifted people are such a mess. Is it the fame or are they just not hitting on the right cylinders due to some sort of short circuit that also caused the talent?
