It's with a long face and sad heart that I leave the Triumph family. I sold my beloved Hazel today. Sue and I are going on a 2000 mile trip through Canada this summer and we wanted a larger more comfortable ride for this trip. We really needed the money from the sale of Hazel to make that happen. I just want to say thanks to all my Triumph friends for all the fun and support over the years. I hope to get another Triumph someday when finances allow. Ride safe my friends

First Ron, it was a pleasure meeting you a few years back at the NH Winter get-together, and getting to know you over these many years on this website. Don't be a stranger now that you've sold your BA, and keep in touch around here. Secondly, what kind of bike did ya purchase for this Canadian trip? And thirdly, when ya get back, I hope you know we'll all be lookin' forward to seeing your pictures and hearing about that ride. Cheers, Dwight
Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)

I knew something was up when I saw your bike in the classified section. Good luck with your trip and new bike.

Hey Ron. You still have a bunch of friends here that would like to keep in touch. Send some pics of your upcoming trip also.

Have fun on your trip and be safe. A mans gotta do what a mans gotta do.

Always bugs me when people think they should leave the site when they sell their Triumph. They don't get that it's at least as much about the people as it is the bikes.

Yeah stick around Ron! After all the Shim under bucket is sorta similar to ours?! I'm looking at the same ride too. Looking being the operative word. Seems the used ones hold their value the way used hardlys did 15 years ago. The new body design marks this years model too. The navigation systems blows as one cannot operate it while under way. Hurry up before you grow unyoung! Kenny(mc), "I turn 71 in May, and I have to admit my Goldwing is geting a little hard to hold up at a stop"

We're looking at the middle of the road Goldwing without the navigation. I have to say that I did sit on the Harley Road Glide Ultra and a Kawasaki Voyager. I think the Goldwing is better for me because it has reverse and with my short legs it will be easier to handle if I get in a rut or slight incline. I like the smooth ride on the Goldwing as well. I seem to like the touring bikes with the fixed fairings. In any case, I'll keep in touch and post pictures of the trip.

Don't forget to check out the R-3 Touring. They are very smooth and powerful.

The R3 Touring has about 1/2 of everything the wing has, except power. Honda Gold Wing is a class all its own. IMHO nothing measures up to it. Its like the Rolls Royce of touring.

Buddy of mine just traded his Ultra Classic in for a Goldwing. Said the difference in highway riding was like night and day.
