SOMEONE POSTED THIS ON YOU TUBE. IT IS GREAT!

http://www.behindtheplayer.com/ace_dvd/

Ace truely was my first guitar God/Hero. I heard other music from my brothers, but once I heard KISS I was hooked at the tender age of 11. My very first Rock record was KISS ALIVE II.

As I matured I discovered other great guitar gods. Ace never has gotten much crerdit from the purist. But He wrote some of the best Kiss tunes ever! He may play a bit sloppy, and have basic hooks, but I LOVE HIS ATTITUDE! Evidently so did a whole generation. Panterra's Dimebag, and Skid Row. Anthrax and even Garth Brooks!

here is a great BIO page I found. http://www.kissinuk.com/bio/ace.htm

I really liked his CD that came out in 2009. The best since his 97 solo with Kiss. I hope will be working on a new one soon.

ENJOY.

KISS have been my favorite band since i was 15 years old. I first saw them live in London in 1980 and it was Ace's last tour with them. I think he is one of the most underrated guitar players around.

His Frehleys Comet albums are pretty good. I saw him live in the mid 80's when he came to London with Frehley Comet and it was a great show.

Im bias, but i think KISS are put down very unfairly. Sure, the make up and the toys may annoy some, but they are still one of the very best live acts around and their music, allowing for a couple of duff albums, their music has always been very honest. Simple good time rock'n'roll.

Treat youself and watch the KISS Symthony DVD. It is brilliant.

I have the KISSOLOGY DVD set that covers a lot, it has the uncut MTV show on it. shows how many times it really took them to do domino and a few others! LOLOLOL and teh fun BS during set changes.it was about 5 DVD's and there were two more to buy for the whole set.

My first ever concert was KISS in 1980, Not too long be fore Ace left. It was the Dynasty toure. (Van Halen was second) not bad for a 13yr old!

So Lets see DUD slabs of acitate and vynal.... The elder --(One good song), and Hot in the shade. I liked Vinnie, and Bruce is very good.,, Too bad Tommy is just a hired gun and plays nothing but covers.I dont grudge him ,, he is a great player, I just think he neeeds his on persona. Cold Gin is Aces song and attitude. you can tell in the playing its not Ace. (to smooth LOLOL)

So I just saw on Wiki that Tommy will get to have original imput. ( I reallydont think he did much on sonic boom) A new all anolog recorded disk called MONSTER will be outin june. Genes quote "Technology is a seductive Bi~ch, she will seduce you. You press this button, you don't have to do anything. But analog is the love of your life. You can push real hard and it always gives back. For the new album, the actual recording process was 24-track tape and an old Trident board. And as many tubes as possible. You need tubes, electricity and thick wood to make that thick sound."

should be interesting. Hope its better than sonic boom!

I remember bits and pieces of Kiss, from teenager years.

Nice to see this, thanks for sharing.

One of my all time favorite bands (Rush) had nothing but high praises for Kiss...

Rock on!

Kiss has always been one of my favorite bands. I tell people if you look past the makeup it is just good rock and roll. My favorite Kiss song is off of Ace Frehley's solo album - Rip it Out.

Big fan in my early teens, couple of favotites, Strutter, Cold Gin, Deuce ( you know yor man is workin' hard, he's worth a deuce)
I recall Simmons explaning the make up. His take was, there were a lot of pretty boy glam bands " and we were not pretty" we needed someting to get the girls attention.
That and the thing he keeps coiled in his mouth apperantly did the trick

My favorite KISS interview, Oprah Winfrey, don't know what year. They are all on the stage with "O", and she is asking them individual questions. She starts chatting up Gene and she mentions the rep he has for a long tongue. She then asks..."So Gene, how long is your tongue?" Without batting any eye, Gene responds, "Long enough to make me your closest, personal friend!" I swear, you could see Oprah turn different colors right there on stage. I laughed and laughed...
